"As morning breaks, I look to you, O God, to be my strength this day"

More from Psalm 63; interesting to be in this psalm again - more to glean...
'O God, You are my God; Early/earnestly will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. 2 So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. 3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. 4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. 6 When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. 7 Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. 8 My soul follows close/hard behind You; Your right hand upholds me. -NKJV/italics NIV_KJV

I have been convicted/encouraged to seek God early and earnestly each day and it is noticeable when I don't.  Interesting that the Hebrew root word for EARLY shachar means 'be up early with the implication of earnestness' (diligence, painstaking searching).  O Lord, I desire to put You FIRST in my thoughts, my time, my actions.  Help me to put aside distractions and busyness that I may hear from You first each day, and in Your great mercy, help me to remember and respond at once to seek You.  You are Lord of my time and my day and my thoughts; I give You first place.

Perhaps this is why I so often hear you singing as I awake: "Give ear to my words, O Lord. Consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King and my God. O Lord, in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee and will look up."

It's nice to be able to worship Him together in spirit though we are so far apart geographically and helps me to stay focused on Him and what He wants for my day.
Love you!
